Ingredients:

Filling:
2 cup Wheat Flour 1 cup Satto/ roasted chana dal flour
2tbsp oil/ghee 1
big size onion (finely chopped)
1 cup of oil to deep
fry the balls. 2-4
green chilies
1 inch ginger
finely chopped
2-5 garlic cloves
1 tbspn of
mustard oil
1 lemon juice
1/2 tsp of Ajwain
1/2 tsp of kallonji
2 tbspn green coriander
leaves (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Method:
Take a big bowl and pour in it the wheat flour, oil and with
warm water make hard dough.
Take another bowl and mix in it all the filling ingredients.
If the mixture looks dry, sprinkle few drops of water to make the mixture moist.
Now from the dough cut a portion to make ball and by moving
round with in your fingers make a big whole in the middle, like a small bowl,
and add the filling mixture. Close it and again roll softly in your hands.
Following the same procedure make the battis/litti.
Heat a kadhai, add oil as much balls get merge in it. Heat the
oil very well. Now make the flame medium and add the balls to deep fry until
they get golden in color.
Take out in a plate, break them into 2 pieces and pour a
spoon hot ghee in it . Serve with chutney and chokha.
